Welcome to the Official Reyes Collective Blog. First and foremost, we thank you for navigating through our site and hope you find something of interest. As of right now the Collective consists of: Joe Reyes (Founder), Nate Evans (IT Director), and Jyles Carley (Content Director).

About The Brand:

Joe Reyes, is one of our very own, a Rochester native. Reyes found the inspiration for the brand by noticing the immense amount of talent in the 585. As the definition of “collective” states, we wish to come together with numerous creatives in the area and collaborate in different ways moving forward. Conceptually, the Collective is a dynamic established for not only the team members, but also for all of our patrons. The influence behind the brand stems from a multitude of sources; including our experiences living in Rochester, as well as many different creatives that have left their mark on the fashion and sneaker industry. Throughout our collections you will see nods to some of our favorites, such as Takashi Murakami, Brian Donnelly, Jerry Lorenzo, Kanye West and more…

Collection Updates:

The Reyes Collective Winter Collection is finally here (12/16/21)! This collection focuses on an outdoors vibe with a touch of streetwear feel, perfect for the cold season. Deciding the color options for this collection was very important as the brand intends to hit that outdoor tactical aesthetic. Featured in this drop; the Logo Hoodie, the Cargo Utility Vest, as well as the Homeage Foam Trucker Hat. The hoodie and utility vest can be found in both black and tan iterations of the respective piece, while the hat completes the whole look featured in black with red and gold accents. Not to mention, the hat also features the Rochester flower embroidered on the side panel.

The Collective Interview:

For this segment of The Collective Interview, we interviewed Marc Bravo (@marcbrav0) about his connection to the concept of “collective” and the things he has been working on personally. Born and raised in the DMV area, Marc embodies the idea of “collective” to a tee (no pun intended).

When asked about what the concept means to him, Marc mentions that collective is humanity– “As a human, we thrive off our community more than we know. It’s inevitable for it to exist. With it, you are at a different level of potential than without it. I pray every day that people don’t fall victim to the ‘be independent’ wave.”

Further into the interview we asked Marc about his take on the current state of the culture. He notes that the culture has moved to a meta style rather than grit, meaning “It’s now a game of who can do online the best while still touching the people whether physically or virtually.”

In closing Marc believes that it is his duty to lead by example. From his perspective, he puts an emphasis on spreading love and bringing people together inside and outside his career. We remind you to stay tuned on his Instagram for upcoming music and tiny desk concerts.
